Eros TimesDelhi:EROS TIMES: Revenue Minister Kailash Gahlot on Thursday inspected several ghats of Delhi to review the preparedness for the celebration of Chhath Puja festival.
The minister was accompanied by senior officers of the department and chairman of the Tirth Yatra Committee Kamal Bansal.
The Minister directed the Department to ensure that devotees enjoy the Puja and there should be no inconvenience to them.
“The number of ghats at which Puja will be performed this year is more than 1100.
This is a record for Delhi and we are ensuring that no devotee has to travel for more than two kilometres to perform the Puja.” Gahlot said.
The minister said he has been directed by the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to ensure that all facilities including electricity connections, water, mobile toilets, tents, loud speakers, first aid kit etc., must be in place before the festival.
The minister directed all the officers to remain available and alert over the weekend to monitor the arrangements so that the devotees celebrations pass off smoothly.
