Eros TimesNew Delhi:EROS TIMES: Traveling to Delhi from Noida and Ghaziabad and coming to South Delhi from other parts of Delhi will be jam-free. For this, the Delhi Cabinet chaired by the Chief Minister approved the Ashram extension flyover scheme on Thursday. Under this scheme, the ashram flyover on Ring Road will be extended to DND Flyway with six lanes. Also, a three-lane down-ramp will be constructed to go from Ashram flyover to Sarai Kale Khan. Apart from this, a three-lane up-ramp for vehicles going from ITO and Sarai Kale Khan to South Delhi will also be made for this flyover from DND loop.
This plan will cost a total of Rs 128.95 crore. Also, construction work will be completed in a year. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that with the expansion of the flyover, people will get relief from the traffic jam near Ashram and Maharani Bagh, and thousands of commuters will benefit from this. “At the ashram flyover during the peak hours, there is a huge traffic, due to which there is jam between Ashram-DND. Now people will get rid of this jam with Ashram flyover expansion plan”, said the Chief Minister.

Will resolve long jam on ring road from DND loop to Ashram intersection
“Right now, vehicles going from Noida and Ghaziabad to South Delhi have to struggle to get from DND loop to Ashram intersection. Also, those going to South Delhi from ITO and Sarai Kalekhan have to go through two to four jams. Many times people are late in commuting to and from office.
Also the country’s fuel is wasted. Sometimes it takes even half an hour for people to reach this intersection. This caused problems to thousands of people. Thousands of people will now benefit from the Ashram extension flyover scheme”, said the Chief Minister.
Plan prepared on the instructions of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had directed the Public Works Department to chalk out a plan to deal with the traffic jam near Ashram flyover. After which the Public Works Department prepared the feasibility report in which there was talk of expanding the ashram flyover. This was conveyed to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He asked to plan for immediate flyover expansion. On Thursday, the Public Works Department planned to expand the flyover in the cabinet and approved.
No need to take 4 km round to cross the road from Kilokari
After the construction of the Ashram extension flyover, one will not have to travel four kilometers to cross the road from Kilokari. Now, after only one and a hundred meters from Kilokari to the ring road, the drivers will be able to cross the road by taking a U turn.
Also he/she will be able to go towards Maharani Bagh or South Delhi. Similarly, one will not have to travel one kilometer from Maharani Bagh to Sarai Kale Khan, Noida, ITO and Ghaziabad. After taking 150 meters on the Upper Ring Road, the driver will be able to go towards the destination by taking a U turn.
Thousands of pedestrians will not have to risk their lives to cross the road on the Ring Road
Currently, at Maharani Bagh pedestrians take support of Red Light to cross the road on the Ring Road. Red Light will be scrapped after this plan. Also, there will be a subway constructed for pedestrians, with which pedestrians will be able to move safely.

– Commuters coming from Noida and Ghaziabad to AIIMS, Safdarjung, Escort, Apollo Hospitals still have to struggle in jam. After this plan, people will be able to reach the destination without any jam.
– People coming to South Delhi from ITO and Sarai Kale Khan will also not have to struggle in jam.
– Thousands of liters of fuel will saved every day.
– People will be able to reach office and home on time.
