NOIDA:EROS TIMES:Sunrise Learning Foundation conducted Third Annual Special Sports Meet 2017 for children with special needs of ages 3 to 20 years, on 9th December 2017 at Kothari International School to celebrate International Day for persons with Disability. More than 225 children with special needs (autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities etc) from 15 schools (including schools with inclusive education like Step by Step, Heritage, Billabong, Shiv Nadar and Orane kids, Udaan, Cornerstone, Stimulus, Sunrise Learning and other special schools) of Delhi NCR participated in this sports meet.
There were several events that were conducted eg athletics (25 meters, 50 meters, 100 meters, 200 meters, 50 meters hurdle race, crawl race), basketball, shotput, hit the target, kick the ball, and roller skating.
There were more than 40 volunteers for supporting and helping the children, from all spheres of life, including doctors. Some senior renowned doctors like Dr VP Kataria, Dr Subhash Manaktala, Dr Suri, Dr Mirta came as special guests to bless the children and support the event.
Sports brands like SG, Decathlon, Vicky Sports and Li-Ning were associated.
Mr Anand, the CEO of SG inaugurated the event with raising helium balloons and cutting the ribbons.
